1 Pole sleeves
In order to optimize the run off of condense water between the canopy and rain fly, the sleeves for the poles are made from net material. In addition, they are strengthened with floor material to reduce damage when pushing the poles through.
2 Ventilation
The APEX vent flaps are located at the upper part of the tent where wind blows against it.
Polyester threads covered with cotton
This special high quality thread expands when wet and thus optimally closes the needle holes.
3 Water repelent zippers
The material of the zippers is water repelent to provide optimal protection.
4 Lap fell seams
Most seams are lap fell seams, which means that the fabrics are joined and folded so that four layers of fabric are sewn together with two rows of stitching. |
5 Off ground seam
Due to a special cut of the floor material and the lower canopy wall, the side seams do not lie on the floor and thus provide optimal protection from dampness.
6 Guy lines
For attaching the guy lines, webbing loops are sewn on the seam to reduce the tension on the seams and fabric.
7 Up side down buckles
These make for a simple connection between the canopy and rain fly. Without any extra tightening with pegs, with well-placed buckles you can pull the rain fly tight with one hand.
8 Catenary Cut
The catenary cut guarantees a uniform spread of stress across the fabric panels and minimizes nerving rain fly flutter when windy. Additionally, this type of cut counteracts a large portion of fabric stretch.
9 Taped seams
All seams of the rain fly, as well as the floor of the canopy are taped.

3 way pitch
The 3 way pitch system allows you to:
1. set up the canopy first, and then the rain fly
2. set up the rain fly first, and then the canopy
3. set up the canopy and rain fly simultaneously
Color-coded buckles
You can quickly find the correct position for connecting the canopy and rain fly with the color-coded buckles.
Color coded poles and sleeves
The color-coded poles and sleeves save you trial and error in finding where the poles belong.
Seasons
The definition of "season of use" is a subjective attempt to rank the tents according to stability and winter-use requirements, which vary from one producer to another. Here are our classifications:
Three seasons: Tents have an average to high storm stability, weatherproof vestibules, mostly coverable mosquito netting.
Four seasons: Tents have a high storm stability weather proof, coverable mosquito netting, and snow cannot collect on the roof.
Extended sleeping area
Several of our tents have an extended sleeping area. This is especially important for people over 6’6.
Material
We only use high quality and optimized materials for our tents. The fabrics are tested for their technical specifications according to ISO-standards in regular laboratory tests. They are tested for water resistance, ripping, chafing, material wear and life span (UV rays). All materials are given enough time to „age“ before manufacturing. This is important because coating flaws often do not show until after 3-4 weeks time. |
Continuous sleeves for the poles
The continuous sleeves for the poles, combined with the pole clips, allow for an easy and fast setup.
APEX vents
The APEX vent flaps are located at the upper part of the tent where wind blows against it. On the windward side of the rain fly the wind creates a point of higher pressure, while creating a point of low pressure on the leeward side. There the ventilating air between the canopy and the rain fly is suctioned out. Due to this physical principle the relatively small APEX vent flaps are highly effective. Additionally, the flaps are integrated into existing seams so as not to increase the potential for leakage on the rain fly. They do not need to be tied out to keep them open, and when closed, they are held flat via Velcro fasteners.
Quality Control
Optical controls guarantee that only flawless fabric is used for the tents. In addition to the factory intern quality control, we setup every single tent to test the cut and the sewing quality.
Water Column
The information on the water columns is based on the true measurements made in our laboratory tests, and not on the fabric delivery condition, which lies about 10000mm. All weights are gross weights.
Footprints for all models
A footprint will extend the life span of your tent floor. Each model has an extra floor covering which is made especially to fit each tent, which can be easily attached to the end of the poles using grommets and straps. All weigths are net weights.
Warranty
We give a Lifetime warranty. In the unlikely case of complaints we offer a fast and easy return service.
