The Silk Roads - A route and planning guide

PAUL WILSON was born in Macclesfield and took to unusual journeys at an early age when, aged two, he fell out of his third-floor bedroom window. He went to King's School, Macclesfield, before reading History and Ancient History at New College, Oxford.

He has lived and worked in North, South and Central America and travelled extensively in Africa, Europe and Asia. On this and his earlier trips to the Orient he has always maintained his support for Macclesfield Town Football Club, which makes him a true 'Silkman' on the Silk Road.

Paul is currently putting the finishing touches to his first novel, Follow your Nose , a desperate attempt to make some sense of his love/hate relationship with the travel-writing game.
